Is there something wrong with me for not getting the Obama craze?

I just don't get all the love that this guy gets. The awards for doing nothing, the admiration of the entire media. I don't get the people wearing t-shirts with his face on it, the school children singing his praises. I don't get walking through manhattan and seeing people selling paintings of him. I just don't get it. I don't even think his speeches are anything amazing. I read online that he deserved the Nobel Prize because he simply brought hope to all the downtrodden people of the world. Can that be true? Sometimes I feel like there is something wrong with me for not being in love with this guy as much as everyone else is. It's kind of like when I noticed all these girls wearing Ugg boots and when I said they looked stupid they acted horrified. I feel so out of place in America now.
