OMG A ROACH BITE ME???

i have alot of roachs in my house but they aint german and all of a sudden just now...night time this roach was on me and i was waitting for the right moment to knock it off but then i feel a painfull bite where the roach was on and i quinkly knocked it off...o_O i freaked out is it bad??I DON'T WANNA DIE i washed it with soap and water
