Cell cycle: What is meiosis? What does it produce?

Meiosis is the process in which a diploid cell becomes a haploid cell, reducing the number of chromosones by half. It results in cells. Mitosis and meiosis are basically the same thing, except chromosone divide twice in meiosis, (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase happen twice)
